Dr Kavita Rao

Dr Rao was born in Mumbai, India and moved to Auckland in 1999. She grew up here in central Auckland, completing her primary, intermediate, and high school years before heading south to Dunedin to study at Otago.

She holds both a BSc degree and a Medical degree from Otago.
She has worked across all of Auckland’s main hospitals and experienced a wide range of specialties before choosing to focus on community medicine.
Dr Rao has a special interest in Women’s Health and General Medicine.

Outside of work, Dr Rao enjoys spending time with family and friends, discovering Auckland’s amazing cafes and restaurants, and travelling.
